The bolt-action Remington Model Seven rifles feature standard contour barrels. There are four variants: Model Seven Synthetic, Model Seven Stainless, Model Seven CDL and the Model Seven Laminate.

The Model Seven Synthetic has understated looks thanks to its matte gray synthetic stock that pairs well with its matte blued barrel. The classically styled synthetic stock has two swivel sling studs.

The Model Seven Stainless (sometimes written as Model Seven SS) encompasses 20” light contour barrels offered in 223 Rem, 243 Win, 260 Rem, 7mm-08 Rem, 308 Win and 308 Win Super Mag. They effortlessly mate a splendid 20” stainless steel barrel and a stainless-steel barreled action with a synthetic stock. Total weight is 6.5 pounds.

The four CDL variants span 243 Win, 260 Rem, 7mm-08 Rem and 308 Win. They mate a 20” satin blue carbon steel barrel to the beautiful satin American walnut CDL stock. All are 4+1 guns with 13 1/8” LOPs, 1 ¼” drop at comb that slopes to a 1 ½” drop at heel. They tip the scales at just 6.5 pounds.

The Model 7 Laminate feature a Schnabel forend, brown laminate stock, a shorter 18.5” barrel and iron sights. These weigh 6.5 pounds and are very popular with smaller shooters. They cover 223 Rem, 243 Win, 7mm-08 Rem and 308 Win.

The entire Seven series shares some excellent characteristics. For example, the barrels are cold hammer forged for increased strength. And, very importantly, for safety and durability, Sevens have Remington’s Three Rings of Steel design. This means the bolt face has a recess that encloses the cartridge head, the barrel surrounds the bolt shroud and the barrel threads into the hardened steel receiver.

At the bottom of each Seven is a crisp Remington X-Mark Pro user-adjustable trigger that’s factory set to 3.5 pounds of pull pressure, but users can adjust down to just 2.5 pounds or up to 5.0 pounds and anywhere in between. It is nickel-plated, corrosion resistant and housed within a glove-friendly oversized trigger guard. Behind all but the Model Seven CDL stocks is a Supercell Recoil Pad that soaks up felt recoil by 54% compared to other similar pads.

Remington shuttered production in 2020. But until then, Remington Sevens were Made in USA.
